Book Recommendation: Bossy Pants
Well… I didn’t read a book this week, so I thought I’d share a quote that I’ve used to help me get started on several large projects.
Change, worry, anxiety are often ambiguous and intangible. The best way to overcome the intangible is with tangible action. Like fighting fire with water. Do something concrete to bring this abstract concern under control. Do something—something small that will give you immediate success and the positive emotions required to conquer the fear.
Okay, so I read “Bossy Pants” by Tina Fey this week. Same idea.
“You can’t be that kid standing at the top of the water slide, overthinking it. You have to go down the chute” – Tina Fey
Just jump. The rest will follow.
If an idea, a project, a goal or commitment won’t go away and begins to consume our mind, this should be a signal that this is the right thing to do, and now.
Today, tomorrow, or six months from now, you can make successful resolutions any time of the year!
